INCREASE IN SHARE PRICE AND THE EDGE ARTICLE ENTITLED: “ PENTAMASTER SHARES JUMP 23% ON TRADING HALT OF HK UNIT”

We refer to the query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) dated 5 December 2024 on the sharp rise in price and volume of Pentamaster Corporation Berhad’s (“Pentamaster” or “the Company”) shares on 4 December 2024 (“trading activity”).

The Board of Directors of Pentamaster, after making due enquiry with the Directors and major shareholders, wishes to inform shareholders of the Company that, to the best of their knowledge:

1. there is no material development in the Pentamaster Group’s business and affairs not previously announced that may account for the trading activity other than as disclosed below.

Reference to the article appearing on The Edge, on Wednesday, 4 December 2024 titled “Pentamaster Shares Jump 23% on Trading Halt of HK Unit”.

We wish to inform shareholders of the Company that Pentamaster International Limited (“PIL”) is a subsidiary of the Company and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange which was referred to in The Edge article above.  PIL has applied for a halt in the trading of its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with effect from 4 December 2024, pending the release of an announcement. The Board wishes to inform shareholders of the Company that there is no material development on the Company as at now and the Company remains unaffected by the above event. The Company will update shareholders on any material development of the above matter in accordance to the corporate disclosure policy of Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities (“LR”);

2.      the Directors are not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the Group that may account for the trading activity other than as disclosed

by The Edge, on Wednesday, 4 December 2024 titled “Pentamaster Shares Jump 23% on Trading Halt of HK Unit”. We will make the necessary announcement once we have obtained the approval from the relevant authorities; and

3.      the Directors are not aware of any other possible explanation to account for the trading activity.

The Board of Directors confirms that, to the best of their knowledge, the Company is in compliance with the LR in particular Paragraph 9.03 of the LR on immediate disclosure obligations.
