1.         The Board of Directors of Pentamaster Corporation Berhad (“PCB”) wishes to announce that PCB had, on 30 December 2024 received a sealed copy of Writ dated 23 December 2024 and Statement of Claim dated 23 December 2024 from Messrs Skrine, the solicitors acting for Ocado Innovation Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of the England and Wales. Ocado Innovation Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ocado Group Plc, a company based in England which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Ocado Innovation Limited initiated an action against PCB based on the allegations with which PCB is neither involved nor associated with. PCB will take appropriate action to strike out the claim against Ocado Innovation Limited.

2.         Steps taken and proposed to be taken in respect of the Writ and Statement of Claim

PCB is seeking the necessary legal advice to defend or striking out the Writ and Statement of Claim.

3.         Financial and operational impact of the receipt of the Writ and Statement of Claim on the Group

Save for the legal fees to be incurred to defend or to strike out the Writ and Statement of Claim, the litigation is not expected to have any material impact on the financial position or operations of the Group.

4.         Further announcements on the development of the above matter will be made to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in due course.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court has fixed this matter for Case Management before the Deputy Registrar on 14 January 2025.
